RCBH/SLWIC awarded with Arizona Best Practices and Brightest Stars Awards for the second year

Yuma, AZ – (May 5th, 2023).- The Regional Center for Border Health, Inc., San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc. is proud to announce that for a second year on the row was a recipient of the Arizona Partnership for Immunization (TAPI) Daniel T. Cloud Outstanding Practice Awards presented as part of the 27th Annual “Arizona Best Practices and Brightest Stars Awards Celebration” on April 19, 2023 held in Mesa, Arizona.

 

According to Ms. Marisol Penuelas-Arrizon, Chief Officer of Quality/Medical Informatics with RCBH, the Daniel T. Cloud Outstanding Practice Awards is given to healthcare providers that achieved a minimum 90% coverage level of their two-year-old patients (4 DTaP, 3 Polio, 1 MMR, 3 Hib, 3 Hep B, and 1 Varicella) and teen patients (1 Tdap and 1 MCV4).

 

RCBH/SLWIC was awarded in the following categories:

  • Toddler
  • Teenager

 

“Receving this important award confirms the commitment our team has in providing high quality services to the families and children of our communities, we can not be more proud of our team in San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc.,” stated Ms. Amanda Aguirre, former State of Arizona Senator and current President & CEO of RCBH.

 

Presenting the award prizes were Rebecca Sunenshine, MD, Medical Director, Disease Control, Maricopa County Department of Public Health; Bob England, MD, interim executive director of TAPI; and Jim McPherson, board chair of TAPI.

The Arizona Partnership for Immunization (TAPI) is a non-profit statewide coalition of more than 400 members.

In 2002, TAPI began recognizing outstanding practices and clinics that showed leadership and dedication in the field of immunization.
