Yuma, AZ – (January, 2022).-  The Binational Health and Environment Council of Yuma County, Arizona and San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora (COBINAS) sponsored by the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. (RCBH) proudly announces the selection of the 13 drawings that will illustrate the 2022 Binational Clean Air Calendar.

According to former State of Arizona Senator and current President and CEO of RCBH, Ms. Amanda Aguirre, the main purpose of the drawing contest which is create awareness on the importance of environment inviting the students to make a drawing with the emphasis of the air quality and the importance of recycling habits really was met.

“Once again, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we asked schools to participate by sending their drawings by e-mail to avoid any in-person contact,” said Ms. Aguirre, “we would like to recognize teachers and students who did their best and participated.”

The 2022 Binational Clean Air Calendar will be dedicated by Ariel and Fidel Samano, both young twin fighters also known as “Cuatitos Samano” who train with Detective Ernesto Prieto at the San Luis Youth Center.

Special recognitions to those who illustrate the calendar will be presented this year at each school. All the students who participated at the contest will receive a certificate of participation. Free distribution of the calendar will be done briefly.
