Yuma, AZ – (November 21, 2019).-  The Binational Health and Environment Council of San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora and Yuma County, Arizona (COBINAS), sponsored by the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. (RCBH) proudly announces the selection of the 13 drawings that will illustrate the 2020 Binational Clean Air Calendar.

According to Ms. Amanda Aguirre, President and CEO of RCBH, the main purpose of the drawing contest which is create awareness on the importance of environment inviting the students to make a drawing with the emphasis of the air quality and the importance of recycling habits really was met.

“It was a difficult task for the judges to select the drawings, since the students really do a wonderful job in putting their ideas of a clean Planet on the paper, however we are pretty sure we chose the best,” stated Ms. Aguirre, former State of Arizona Senator.

The following are the names of the winners:

This year the Calendar will be dedicated by the Antelope High School Football team, whose members went to Alaska in the Summer representing Arizona and the USA in national tournament.

Special recognitions to the team, the 13 students and a donation to their schools will be presented during the quarterly meeting of COBINAS in January 2020, in Somerton, Arizona. All the students who participated at the contest will receive a certificate of participation.
