RCBH/COBINAS invites students to participate at the Binational Clean Air Calendar 2020 drawing contest
Every year students selected are recognized during January meeting

Yuma, AZ – (August 15th, 2019).- The Binational Health and Environment Council San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora and Yuma County, Arizona (COBINAS), sponsored by the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. (RCBH), invites students who live in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora and Yuma County, Arizona, to participate in the drawing contest for the Binational Clean Air Calendar 2020 edition.

According to Ms. Amanda Aguirre, President and CEO of the RCBH, the objective of this contest is to raise awareness on the importance of taking care of our environment in the region, inviting students to make a drawing with emphasis on air quality, 3Rs (reduce, reuse, and recycle) or wildlife.

The contest is open to students between 7 to 17 years old including anyone from the Somerton, San Luis or Yuma Youth Centers, Health Career Clubs, Casa de la Cultura (House of Culture), Seguro Social, public and private schools in Yuma, San Luis, and Somerton, Arizona and San Luis Rio Colorado Sonora and its Valley.

Drawing must be on 8.5”x 11” letterhead sized paper on landscape orientation, using colored pencils, acrylics, watercolors and crayons.

Special recognitions will be presented to all the 13 students selected for the Calendar during the quarterly meeting of COBINAS in January 2020.  All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

The deadline to submit the drawings to the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc., offices is Friday, October 25th, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., located at 950 East Main Street, in Somerton, Arizona or at the Ecology and Sustainability Development Commission of Sonora State (CEDES), located at Jalisco #903, in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora.

The 13 winners will be notified on November 15th, 2019 by the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc.
