RCBH celebrates cancer survivors with Binational Pink Tea and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Health Fair

Yuma, AZ – (October 7th, 2019) .- The Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. (RCBH), is celebrating National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with two binational events.

On Thursday, October 24th, 2019, RCBH will offer the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Health Fair at its two San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc. rural clinics, from 8:30 to 11:30 am.

In San Luis, Arizona, San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc. is located at 1896 East Babbitt Lane, and in Somerton, Arizona is located at 950 East Main Street, Building B.

The same day, the Binational Health & Environment Council of San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora/Yuma County, Arizona (COBINAS), sponsored by RCBH will celebrate the traditional annual Binational Pink Thea, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, at San Angel Hotel, located at Obregón Avenue and 10 Street, in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.

The main purpose of the Binational Pink Thea is to celebrate life, that is why a cancer survivor from San Luis Rio Colorado and another from Yuma County will share their experience since they were diagnosed.

Educational booths with community resources will be available during the program.

At the end of the event, former State of Arizona Senator and current President and CEO of Regional Center for Border Health, Inc., Ms. Amanda Aguirre will present an important contribution to DIF Municipal, a social assistance organization leaded by San Luis Rio Colorado -First Lady Mrs. Yolanda Orozco de Gonzalez, to support their noble cause.

The annual event is possible with the collaboration of Sonoran Health Ministry, DIF Municipal, City of San Luis Rio Colorado, Health Jurisdiction VI, General Hospital of San Luis Rio Colorado, and the Urban Health Center of San Luis Río Colorado.
