COBINAS members select drawings for 2019 Binational Clean Air Calendar

Yuma, AZ – (December 20, 2018).- The Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. is proud to announce that this week the 13 drawings by students of this border between San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico and Yuma County, Arizona were selected to illustrate the 2019 Binational Clean Air Calendar.

 

Ms. Amanda Aguirre, President and CEO of RCBH, said this Initiative is made possible thanks to the collaboration of members of the Binational Health and Environment Council of San Luis Rio Colorado/Yuma County, Arizona, sponsored by the RCBH.

The Cover will feature the work of Fernando Noe Cedillo Juan, from San Luis Rio Colorado’s Luis G. Cano Elementary School: also each month will show the following works:

August- Dana Soto Gerardo, Arizona Desert School, San Luis, Arizona

October- Brenda Monica Bobadilla Vasquez, Arizona Desert Elementary, San Luis, Arizona

November- Camila Casillas Mancillas, Profesor Felix Soria Elementary, San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora

December- Aylin Gaxiola, Tierra Del Sol Elementary, Somerton, Arizona.

An award and a check will be presented for the winners and their schools during the next regular session of COBINAS in January 2019 in Somerton, Arizona.

Also, outstanding member of the “Nuestros Angeles de Sonora Marching Band”, Diego Quintero Negrete, will dedicate the Binational Clean Air Calendar, that will be available for free in all the schools in the border by January 2019.
