RCBH/CHC recognized by graduates during Spring Graduation
the Nutrition and Food Services Management Program Class 14

The Spring Graduation took place on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Goodwill of Central Arizona, where 7 students graduated from Nurse Assistant, 6 from Phlebotomy Technician, 4 from the Medical Coder and Biller, 5 from the Pharmacy Technician, and 5 from the Nutrition and Food Services Management Program

Yuma, AZ.- Students graduated from the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc./College of Health Careers recognized the non-profit organization representatives for the opportunity to start a career and be a part of the nation-wide workforce at the Spring Graduation.

The Spring Graduation took place on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Goodwill of Central Arizona, where 7 students graduated from Nurse Assistant, 6 from Phlebotomy Technician, 4 from the Medical Coder and Biller, 5 from the Pharmacy Technician, and 5 from the Nutrition and Food Services Management Program.

During the students address, Rocio Andrade, graduate from the Nutrition and Food Services Management Program, took a moment to thank Ms. Amanda Aguirre, former State of Arizona Senator, and current President and CEO of the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc., for her inspirational support to the community.

The group also recognized Ms. Tuly Medina, Senior Vice-President of RCBH; Ms. Ines Pampara, Director of Health Professions and Training Development; and Ms. Candie Zavala-Porchas, Director for Food Services of RCBH/Somerton Main Street Café, and Instructor for the program.

Keynote speaker of the ceremony was Mr. Tom C. Tyree, Yuma County School Superintendent, who highlighted the importance of always lending a helping hand to the ones they will serve.

Ms. Aguirre also recognized the hard work of Ms. Pampara leading the College of Health Careers during the past years, and announced that she will transfer from the College of Health Careers to be the Executive Director for Family Behavioral Integrated Services, an intake agency subsidiary of RCBH.

CNA Class 73 includes Ana Diaz, Meadow Hemmers, Elvira Lozano, Melissa Núñez, Ruth Romero, Nuvia Villa, and Amanda Walden. Instructor is Ms. Karen Fish.

MCB Class 12 includes Jason Figueroa, Stephanie Ortiz, Veronica Rocha, and Gladis Valenzuela. Instructor is Ms. Mary Alice Lopez.

NFSM Class 14 includes Maria Alvarez, Rocio Andrade, Zafiro Barajas, Olga Gonzalez, and Juana Medina. Instructor is Ms. Candie Zavala-Porchas.

PHARM Class 07 includes Aisha Arcenas, Denise Jimenez, Alma Magana, Mary Pate, and Danielle Valtierra. Instructor is Ms. Leslie Peralta.

PHLE Class 12 includes Lorena Aguayo, Anita Cazares, Gloria Cruz, Graciela Quevedo, Joanna Rehban, and Cielo Robles. Instructor is Mr. Adrian Tapia.
