Mission Statement
To improve the availability and accessibility of medical services in Western Arizona and the Arizona-Mexico Border Region, by establishing a comprehensive center for primary care, community outreach and health education.

The Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. / Western Arizona Area Health Education Center (RCBH/WAHEC) is a licensed Job Training Center by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education.

Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. is also recognized by the National Restaurant Association as Certified ServSafe Providers.

An Educational Awareness Campaign for the Prevention of Illegal Dumping

The "No Contamine/Don't Trash La Frontera" is a binational project between Yuma County, Arizona and San Luis R. C. Sonora, that will address Border 2012 goals by creating and engaging an International Alliance of private, state and federal, tribal and public organizations. The International Alliance will put together a clearinghouse for existing resources of reclycling centers in addition to increasing the promotion, education and awareness of proper management of solid waste (recycling, prevention, education) among residents of the Yuma County, Arizona/San Luis R. C. Sonora border. In addition, the alliance will coordinate and sponsor clean up campaigns on both sides of the border targeting areas most impacted by illegal dumping and involving school age children, young adults and the overall community.

 During the 47 th Legislature Session the House and Senate passed with strong support HB 2526 Special License Plate for Breast Cancer. HB 2526 intent is to raise money for the treatment of breast cancer for uninsured women in the state of Arizona. It is estimated that over 200, 000 uninsured women could benefit by this effort.

The money raised by the sale of the special license plate, will be managed by the Arizona Department of Health Services/ Well Women Healthcheck Program.
